Expenses and budgets

Add an expense in a couple of taps, give each category a budget and set a daily limit. Charts show where the money goes.

Shared wallets

Share a wallet with your partner or family. Split an expense equally, by percentage or by exact amounts, and settle up in the app.

Recurring payments

Set up rent, subscriptions and other weekly or monthly payments once. They are added when you open the wallet, and the next charges show up ahead.

Multiple currencies

Pay in one currency and keep the wallet in another. The app converts the amount at the current exchange rate.

Privacy & security

Use the app without an account and lock it with a PIN, Face ID or fingerprint. Data is encrypted in transit and on your phone, and the app works offline.

We created Pick a pocket because we were looking for a simple app for household expenses. No clutter, no ads, and nothing to pay on the first screen.

Everything worth knowing before you install it.

What does Pick a pocket cost?

Nothing. During the open beta the whole app is free. If we ever add paid features, we will publish their price before they appear, and you will decide whether to use them.

Is my data secure?

Your data is encrypted in transit and on your device, and passwords are stored only as hashes. We never sell personal or financial information.

Does the app work offline?

Yes! Add transactions without internet. Data syncs automatically once you are back online.

How do I share a budget with family?

Open the wallet, tap the share icon and enter their email. You choose whether they can only view or also edit. They join once they accept the invitation in the app.

What devices does it work on?

iPhone, iPad and Android. The apps are coming to the stores soon. With an account, your data syncs across all your devices.

Do I need an account?

No. Without an account your wallets stay only on your phone and never reach us. Create an account when you want to sync between devices or share a wallet.

How do I delete my account?

In your profile in the app. Your account and all your financial data are deleted for good. A security log without their content (action, time, IP address) is kept for up to 12 months.

Do I need to connect my bank?

No. Pick a pocket has no access to your accounts and never moves money. You add expenses yourself, and we take exchange rates from public sources.
